Backroom Saints

Backroom Saints is raw working-class protest music fronted by Scott “Matchmaker” Michaels, built for the priced out, tracked, replaced, and forgotten.

Old songs. New scars. Football, faith, fathers, freedom, rage, truth, pubs, pay packets, panic, and survival all meet here. No polish. No permission. No surrender. Just songs for the ones still standing.

Product Details

The Chicago Sting 1981 — Monthalt Heritage Sideline Jacket revives the swagger of one of the Americas most charismatic and hard-hitting clubs. Chicago in the early ’80s wasn’t quiet, and neither were the Sting — bold colours, electric crowds, and a style of soccer that matched the city’s grit and personality.

Monthalt rebuilds the authentic 1981 sideline silhouette with precision:

a smooth retro-nylon shell, vintage contrast striping across the sleeves and shoulders, a sturdy zip-through front, and that unmistakable early-80s athletic fit — slightly boxy, touchline-ready, and built for cold nights at Comiskey Park and Wrigley Field.

The Sting weren’t just a team; they were an event. Their identity mixed working-class Chicago toughness with a showman’s edge — and this jacket carries that same DNA. Every detail is crafted to honour the era: heritage stitching, period-correct colour blocking, and Monthalt’s signature respect for true football history.

This is for collectors, soccer revivalists, and anyone who knows the Sting brought more attitude to American soccer than most modern clubs dare to touch.

Monthalt keeps the legacy alive — bold, authentic, and unmistakably Chicago.
